Our Story
SignStation was born out of resilience. In 2015, after being made redundant from his role as a CNC Operator, Ronald made a decision that would change his family's future: instead of searching for another job, he set out to build one. Working from a small garage, he began designing, manufacturing, and selling house signs — first listing them on marketplaces like eBay, Amazon, and Etsy.
What started as one man's determination to turn setback into opportunity quickly grew into something bigger. In 2019, Ronald's son Vincent joined the business, and together father and son began shaping SignStation into a serious contender in the signage industry. Their combined drive, craftsmanship, and eye for quality pushed the company from a garage-based side venture into a fast-growing name across Europe.
Fast forward to today, and SignStation has become one of Europe's largest, most recognised, and most trusted designers, manufacturers, and retailers of home and business signs. With over 850k property signs sold and a growing team of 15+ employees, our journey from a single garage to a thriving 10,000 sq ft facility in Essex is a testament to what passion, persistence, and family can build together.
How We Work
Every SignStation product begins with raw materials sourced with care. From there, our in-house team designs and manufactures each piece from scratch, transforming those raw materials into the stunning signs our customers know and trust today.
Our reputation as one of Europe's leading sign makers hasn't happened by accident — it's the result of years of rigorous product improvement and consistent, year-on-year investment in our people, processes, and craftsmanship.
Our workshop and equipment
We design and make every sign in our own 10,000 sq ft workshop at 181 Forest Road, Ilford, Essex. It is a working production facility rather than a showroom, so it is not open to visitors. Keeping production in-house means the same team that designs your sign also prints, cuts, checks and packs it.
- UV flatbed printing for our composite aluminium house signs and custom acrylic business signs, printing text and full-colour logos directly onto the panel.
- Laser cutting and engraving for our mirror acrylic lettering and the engraved panel of our personalised letterbox.
Materials we work with
Composite aluminium panels in black, anthracite grey and white; 3 mm acrylic in nine colours for business and safety signs; dual-panel acrylic for our most affordable house signs; gold, rose gold and silver mirror acrylic; IP65-rated solar LED units on our solar house signs; and powder-coated metal for our letterbox.
The team
SignStation was founded in 2015 by Ronald, a former CNC operator, and his son Vincent joined in 2019. Today a team of 15+ people looks after design, production, quality checks and dispatch.
From your order to your door
Orders placed before 2pm on a working day are dispatched the same day, with free tracked delivery to UK addresses. Because every sign is personalised, you have 15 minutes to change an order placed before 2pm: call 01708 873248 (lines are open 8am to 3pm). Our signs are covered by a 2-year guarantee.

2015
A Fresh Start
After being made redundant from his role as a CNC Operator, Ronald refused to let setback define him. Working out of a small garage, he began designing and hand-making house signs, listing his first products on eBay, Amazon, and Etsy. SignStation was born.
2019
A Family Business
Ronald's son Vincent joined the company, bringing fresh energy and a shared ambition. Father and son began working side by side, combining experience with new ideas to push SignStation further than ever before.

Ten years on from that first garage-made sign, SignStation has grown into one of Europe's largest, most recognised, and most trusted designers, manufacturers, and retailers of home and business signs.
